The end of 2012 is upon us, and while the world hasn’t ended, there’s little doubt this senator wished this interview would have ended a lot sooner than later.
Watch as Maria Bartiromo of MSNBC does what undoubtedly so many millions of Americans wish more in the mainstream would do: Mercilessly hold a Senator’s feet to the fire on an issue as important as the Fiscal Cliff. The senator, with his proverbial tail between his legs, tries to quell the Fire of Pwnage from Bartiromo, but he simply can’t take the heat. Enjoy the verbal tongue lashing as the fiery-mouthed Mrs. Bartiromo rhetorically asks, “Are you guys just incompetent or what?”.
Here we have (another) shining example of a legislator who doesn’t even have a clue on what they’re trying to regulate.
Tucker Carlson interviews Democrat, Carolyn McCarthy who introduced an Assault Weapons ban bill into Congress. The only problem is, she has no idea on one of the components of her bill: just exactly what a barrel shroud is, and why it should be regulated. Carlson asks for clarification, and like a classic politician she avoids the question. Finally, Carlson flat out asks her if she knows what she’s talking about, and she admits she doesn’t know.
File another one under another: “Pwned by their own ignorance.”
During the NRA’s recent press conference while Wayne LaPierre described his vision of a militarized war zone America, where the only safe havens from the depraved exist within buildings surrounded by armed guards, he found out the hard way that it’s a bit too soon to be suggesting such things. Especially when the public at large has clearly had enough. Twice protesters held signs in front of him while talking obscuring his face while he pretended to not notice. Twice the NRA was blamed for the senseless murders in Newtown. Twice he only shook his head with no response and pushed ahead with his stark vision of an America that has never existed as it’s an America that people don’t want.
But it didn’t stop there. And it still hasn’t stopped. Responding to the speech tabloids even got in the act.
