Donald Trump quipped at a rally on Tuesday that, “If [Hillary Clinton] gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks. Although the Second Amendment people maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Many took the comment to be a vague threat against Clinton or the Supreme Court justices she would nominate. Others, including former Trump campaign manager and current CNN talking head Corey Lewandowski, said Trump was just joking.

And while plenty of people were appalled that the Republican presidential candidate would “joke” about political violence, none explained why Trump’s comment was dangerous quite like lawyer and former English professor Jason Steed.  Read more…

A man was captured on Facebook Live scaling the glassy heights of Trump Tower in New York Wednesday, using suction cups to move across the windows.

With police watching helplessly below and passersby stopping to take photos and video, he navigated his way across the side of the building.

He reportedly started his stunt on the East 56th Street side of the infamous building, which is the HQ for the Trump Organization and the motherlode of all things Donald Trump.

Witnesses said the man began his ascent from a roof garden accessible to the public and was carrying a bunch of papers.

Less than 24 hours after suggesting “Second Amendment people” might be able to do something about Hillary Clinton’s judicial appointments as president, the Secret Service has acknowledged they’re looking into Donald Trump’s comments.

Speaking a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday, Trump said, “If [Clinton] gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks,” he said. “Although the Second Amendment people maybe there is, I don’t know.” 

In the uproar that followed and with accusations flying that Trump had suggested someone shoot Clinton, Trump’s campaign insisted it was a comment about “the power of unification” and dismissed the controversy as a product of “dishonest media.” Read more…
