Jon Stewart calls out the inept, virtually non-functional Obamacare website. As he says, “it’s got 99 problems but a glitch is all of them.” Indeed. Watch as he notes how less than 10% of people who log on are able to sign up past the first step, and how the Democrats in general “try to spin this turd”.
The pwnage as always is strong with this one. Stewart never lets up and we think it’s safe to say that this isn’t the last time that the (lame pun alert) Obamafail will be called out.
Well, in another case of a power-loving man promising one thing but doing another, we have probably the most glaring example since Donald Trump pretended to be a serious contender in the 2012 Presidential Run.
In light of the recent NSA wiretapping debacle, watch as Senator Barack Obama ‘debates’ with President Barack Obama. One speaks about retaining the Constitution, and how, “it works” while the other speaks about how the wiretapping “helps prevent terrorist attacks.”
It’s almost as if (brace yourself) politicians will pander and play partisan politics just to get what they want. Regardless, sit back, relax and watch the POTUS being pwned by none other than himself.
The Daily Show, a comedy show wrapped in a news show veil actually does a much better job of breaking down the current events of the day, and calling out the politicians and their flabby-armed performance records.
Enter Stewart, (who typically is very complimentary of the POTUS) and watch as he lays it down on him; particularly how Obama hasn’t been coming through on his promise to close Guantanamo (or even releasing any prisoners).
“Candidate Barack Obama from 2007, with three simple words we don’t say too much anymore,” Stewart reflected, before playing a video of the then-Senator promising that “I’ll close Guantanamo” on the campaign trail. Stewart played another clip of the president reiterating his promise in 2009, and again in 2010, with “two small changes”:
“Make no mistake, we will close Guantanamo,” the president said.
“One. He has gone from I’ll close Guantanamo to what’s taking everybody so long,” Stewart said. “And two. He has added the phrase ‘make no mistake, Aquaman! You haven’t seen the last of me and my plan to weaponize kelp.’”
Let’s be honest here: FOX news is probably one of the most (if not THE most) propaganda-laced news networks in existence, today. We here at Political Pwnage have numerous posts citing this “water is wet” level of obviousness. And honestly, we almost feel bad for these folks, because it’s like shooting fish in a deep fryer.
But sometimes, when the planets are aligned perfectly, even our neocon friends not only get it right, but right on. Just watch as Obama is shown stating that the sequester was not his or his administration’s idea, but then watch as Mr. White House Press Secretary himself, Jay Carney states the complete opposite. Damn, son. One can only assume Obama must be eating a lot of bacon with his breakfast these days; to go along with the copious amounts of egg on his face.
Today is Martin Luther King Day, coupled with the Inauguration of Barack Obama, so how fitting it is we have the renowned Dr. Cornel West passionately citing his views on both occasions.
As history has shown, MLK was an ardent anti-war protestor and civil rights’ demonstrator. He even died fighting for his convictions. Contrast that to Obama; while certainly paying lip service to the anti-war sentiment, he undoubtedly has a couple of skeletons in his closet in regards to war. Dr. West, historically a strong Obama supporter, makes no qualms about his dislike for Obama touching MLK’s bible during his swearing in while he calls out Obama for his “war crimes”.
