Jon Stewart calls out the inept, virtually non-functional Obamacare website. As he says, “it’s got 99 problems but a glitch is all of them.” Indeed. Watch as he notes how less than 10% of people who log on are able to sign up past the first step, and how the Democrats in general “try to spin this turd”.
The pwnage as always is strong with this one. Stewart never lets up and we think it’s safe to say that this isn’t the last time that the (lame pun alert) Obamafail will be called out.
The Daily Show, a comedy show wrapped in a news show veil actually does a much better job of breaking down the current events of the day, and calling out the politicians and their flabby-armed performance records.
Enter Stewart, (who typically is very complimentary of the POTUS) and watch as he lays it down on him; particularly how Obama hasn’t been coming through on his promise to close Guantanamo (or even releasing any prisoners).
“Candidate Barack Obama from 2007, with three simple words we don’t say too much anymore,” Stewart reflected, before playing a video of the then-Senator promising that “I’ll close Guantanamo” on the campaign trail. Stewart played another clip of the president reiterating his promise in 2009, and again in 2010, with “two small changes”:
“Make no mistake, we will close Guantanamo,” the president said.
“One. He has gone from I’ll close Guantanamo to what’s taking everybody so long,” Stewart said. “And two. He has added the phrase ‘make no mistake, Aquaman! You haven’t seen the last of me and my plan to weaponize kelp.’”
When The Daily Show takes aim, you bet bet they hit their target. In the midst of the Boston Bombing drama the senate struck down an amendment that would have prevented the bombers from purchasing their guns. It likely would not have stopped them from hurting people but there’s an undeniable head scratcher in there. Rather than lay it all out in this description I’ll post the three clips and let the pros do what they do best. Your Daily Pwnage.
PS: Be sure to stick around for the third video, gun control whoop de doo, as John Oliver is in particularly amazing form.
Very little to say that isn’t totally apparent from the video itself. Jon Stewart absolutely reams Bill O’Reilly in The Rumble 2012. If you can afford to pay for the debate (who’s live streaming broke down) please do so here https://secure.therumble2012.com as the proceeds are going to charity. Not sure how long this youtube link will stay but this debate is something every voter should be observing this election cycle.
FOX makes it easy for Jon Stewart to keep his place as one of the funniest men in the world merely by providing him with constant material. In this clip The Daily Show staff were quick to notice FOX blatantly mis-representing an Obama speech on taxes. When they play the original however, it appears there’s a different message.
